Our achievements 

55% Reduced footprint per user

Labflex is dedicated to providing laboratory solutions that prioritize flexibility and efficiency. Our goal is to design laboratories that cater to the unique needs of users, and our modular approach allows us to accommodate multiple user flows seamlessly.

88 avg. kilometers to suppliers

Top 80% suppliers of materials for production are within an weighted avg. of 88 km from the factory in Skive, Denmark. This supports sustainability, the local economy, and community relationships. We prioritize suppliers promoting ethical and sustainable sourcing practices.

85% waste recycled

Labflex is committed to minimizing waste and promoting recycling. We implement efficient waste management systems, prioritize waste reduction, reuse, and recycling. In our production, we seek to identify opportunities for waste reduction and material utilization.

Climate data

We have chosen to consolidate our ESG data and make it more comprehensible.

In the coming years, we aim to make our data easier to quickly digest and understand. By developing and incorporating a new systematic approach to our collection and treatment of ESG data, we aspire to continuously improve year on year.

The data enables us to develop initiatives to improve sustainability within laboratories.

SCOPE 1

Emissions relate to the activities under our direct control. They include transport with Labflex’s vehicles and emissions from Labflex’s production facilities.

SCOPE 2

Emissions are the indirect emissions caused by the generation of energy that Labflex procures, i.e. electricity and heating.

SCOPE 3

Emissions are the indirect emissions from the Scope 3 categories including purchased goods and services (ranging from heavy deliveries of melamine-coated chipboard to a batch of 100 stainless steel screws), transport and distribution, waste handling in our production and the use of sold fume cupboards.

Our target

In today’s world, sustainability is a term often thrown around without real commitment. However, our commitment to sustainability is deeply rooted through our partnership with the Science Based Targets Initiative, where we pledge to reduce scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by an ambitious 42% by 2030. Also, we are committed to a 25% reduction in scope 3 emissions by the same year, all in alignment with the Paris Agreement.

What are ‘science-based targets’?

Science-based targets provide a clearly-defined pathway for companies to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, helping prevent the worst impacts of climate change and future-proof business growth.

Targets are considered ‘science-based’ if they are in line with what the latest climate science deems necessary to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement – limiting global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.

Reduction in scope 1 and 2 emissions

ESG report 2022

At Labflex, we have demonstrated our commitment to sustainability within laboratories by actively engaging in climate reporting. We published our first climate report back in 2022 comprising of data from 2021. This action has inspired us to dive deeper into the depth of reporting, resulting in this ESG report.

The reports allow us to assess our impact and progress over time across the three dimensions, Environmental (E), Social (S) and Governance (G). The allocation of valuable ressources within this sphere is critical in our aspiration of transforming into a sustainable organization.
