In 2024, Labflex faced a year of new ownership and increased focus on digitalization. This has resulted in good results and development throughout the year. Engaging in remarkable projects, we achieved completion with both excellence and satisfaction.
Initiating our sustainable journey, we are now at the forefront of a data-driven approach towards a more promising future. Continuous improvement is evident in our BIM development. Moreover, in 2024 we launched our digital catalogue, where both internal and external stakeholders can look through our assortment and configure products to find the right options.

DTU Bioengineering
Our involvement includes the design, production, and installation of laboratory solutions tailored to the specific needs of DTU Bioengineering. The mix of our systems secure ergonomic solutions with a great deal of flexibility and adaptability for future changes in workflows.
The project includes GMO Labs, Nano Labs, Mammalian Cell Labs, Biochemistry Labs, Bacterial, Fungal, and Mould Labs, highlighting the diverse research conducted at DTU Bioengineering.

This project reflects a commitment to excellence in educational facilities, aiming to achieve the prestigious DGNB Gold certification, a mark of outstanding sustainability and quality. The five-story building, including a basement, is designed with maximum efficiency and flexibility in mind.
Each floor is meticulously planned to accommodate a wide range of facilities, and the adaptable laboratory spaces ensure that the building can evolve to meet changing educational and research needs over time.

Asetek
We tackled the challenge of creating a freestanding lab island that couldn’t be anchored to the floor or ceiling due to antistatic flooring and worktop surfaces.
Prioritizing stability and elegance, we utilized 3D simulation to design a balanced structure with weight concentrated at the base of installation panels and reinforced by robust side panels. We customized the design with lower panels featuring a graceful curved cutout, maintaining openness without compromising stability.

At Labflex, we have demonstrated our commitment to sustainability by actively engaging in climate reporting.
The reports allow us to assess our impact and progress over time. The allocation of valuable ressources within this sphere is critical in our aspiration of transforming into a sustainable organization.
Achievements
We have managed to reduce the footprint per laboratory technician, source the supply of production materials locally and 93% of our waste within the production is recycled.
We are proud of our achievements and we are continously looking to improve our efforts to reach our goals.

Labflex gets a new owner in the form of German Köttermann Group, which is part of the European investment company BHM Group. The new owners ensure that Labflex receives both financing and complementary know-how, positioning us strongly for continued growth.
