SDU SUND

Description

We are proud to have designed, produced, and installed laboratory furniture for the 50.000-square-meter SDU SUND project. This project includes laboratories for research and development, and Labflex has played a key role in delivering custom furniture to meet various laboratory classification standards.

The project includes GMO class 1, GMO class 2, isotope B, ABSL2 (Biosafety Level 2), and SPF (Specific Pathogen Free) laboratories, highlighting the diverse research conducted at SDU SUND. We have designed the solutions upon our laboratory systems, System 10 and System 14, to provide flexible, easy-to-maintain, and clean solutions, including world-class fume cupboards and point exhaust systems.

Our collaboration with laboratory users, the Medic OUH consortium, and the main contractor Vejdirektoratet has been crucial to tailoring our solutions to meet the user’s needs. We are thrilled to see our shared vision becoming a reality and contributing to research and education at SDU SUND.

The large building complex is unique, as an entire university and a university hospital are being built together. It is only seen in a few places in the world, and it will provide truly extraordinary conditions for research, education, and innovation, especially in the field of healthcare.

Labflex remains dedicated to delivering excellence in laboratory furniture solutions. We look forward to the continued success of the SDU SUND project as we pursue scientific excellence together.
